expertise and training opportunities within the
project framework. The project includes a veteri-
nary station development component, for which
FAO and the EU could provide appropriate
expertise regarding sustainable results and
development process impacts. The problems
addressed in the UNDP project are important—
and even necessary—to enable the implementation
of Uzbekistan’s plans to broaden its range of
production and exports of agricultural products.
