Annotation: Today, our time requires teachers to organize lessons in a non-traditional way, moving away from traditional teaching. In the same lesson, the teacher should be creative, in the process using such forms of interaction with pupils as teacher-pupil, pupil-pupil, pupil-teacher. The application of game techniques such as “Molecule”, “Sunflower” and so on will be explored.
Keywords: creative, visual, audial, "Molecule", "Sunflower", "Hot Potato", "Chain".
One of the most important and positive changes in modern primary education is the decree of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 10, 2012 "On measures to further improve the system of learning foreign languages." No. PQ-1875. Based on this decree, the study of foreign languages, mainly English, in the form of game-based lessons and oral lessons from the 1st grade of general secondary schools, and from the 2nd grade onwards, the study of the alphabet, reading and grammar. 'The unit starts step by step. In accordance with this decree, starting from the 2013-2014 academic year, continuous teaching of foreign languages in the form of games and oral lessons in the first grades of secondary schools has been established.1
When teaching foreign languages in primary school, it is necessary to take into account the age, physiological and psychological characteristics of the pupil. The resolution states that the implementation of foreign language teaching in the form of play-type lessons and oral speech lessons in the primary grades is, in fact, appropriate for younger students. The use of game technology in education is one of the most effective tools for teaching foreign languages. During the game, students' thinking, worldview, thinking expands. Scientists believe that a play-based approach to education facilitates the learning process. This method of teaching not only simplifies the learning process, but also increases students' interest in the subject and encourages them to gain in-depth knowledge. Play-based lessons help children develop their speaking skills. First graders love pictures or videos. It is during this course that their visual and auditory abilities develop as they see and hear pictures and videos. Through these skills, the child quickly learns new words in English.’’ Molecule’’,’’ Hot Potato’’, and ‘’Chain’’games are very convenient for first and second graders to memorize new words and remember them easily and quickly, as well as to develop their oral speech
‘’Molecule‘’ game. We divide the students into two equal groups (we know chemically that several molecules combine to form one substance, and it is through this game that students must form a whole through words). Group 1 - "Fruits", Group 2 - "Vegetables". The teacher has pasted pictures of vegetables and fruits on the magnetic board. Then one student from each group takes turns, the teacher tells him the names of vegetables and fruits in English, the members of each group say them in Uzbek and take pictures of the words they found on the board. begins to make. In this case, each student is a molecule. A student who can't find the word stays in place and can't join the group. At the end of the game, the molecules in each group are counted. The group with the most molecules wins. The advantage of this game is that it helps students to be resourceful, work in groups and develop their speaking skills.
One of the most effective ways to memorize new words is to play Hot Potato and Chain.
In the’’Hot Potato’’ game, the teacher asks a small ball (for example, if you are studying fruits and vegetables) by mixing these words in English and Uzbek. The teacher says "Apple" and throws the ball to one of the students, the student grabs the ball and says "Apple" and returns the ball to the teacher. If the student finds the correct one, incentive cards are presented, if there is a mistake or the student holds the ball in his hand for a long time, the teacher says “Hot Potatto” and he reads takes the bird out of the game. The game continues in this way, and at the end of the game one student wins. The advantage of this game is that it helps to speed up the mental activity of students and improve their memory, and the student who is not able to master these words, increases his audience's ability to hear and memorize words over and over again.
The Chain Game is a sequel to this game, where students have to connect the words they have memorized. For example, if the teacher starts the game with the word “Banana,” the next student says the word that the teacher said first, that is, “Banana,” and then says “Orange” for himself. In this case, the banana-orange ……………………… .. and in this case the students continue without breaking the chain. The student who breaks the chain leaves the game. At the end of the game, the student who goes to the end without breaking the chain wins. This game allows students to participate in the lesson at the same time.
The’’Sunflower’’ game method is suitable for third and fourth graders, as long as the students already know how to read and write in English. In the game, the class is divided into two equal groups and sit in a round shape. The teacher writes the verbs “LIKE” to one group and “CAN” to the other in the middle of the king (for example, if the teacher has passed the subject of the verb) and makes sentences with these verbs. . Students write the parts of speech on the leaves (this is what happens: the word "I" on one leaf is a round part in the middle, "LIKE", and on the next leaf, for example, the word "Ice- cream". Students read their own sentence: “I like ice-cream.” The second group does the same with the word given to them. The advantage of this game is that it teaches students to work in groups, and then uses the words they have memorized during the lessons. sharpens the memory even more by using it in practice.2
In conclusion, in teaching English, taking into account the age and psychological characteristics of students, an innovative approach that helps them to fully satisfy their interest in learning a foreign language, as well as to improve their creative skills and outlook. The application of game technologies in the practice of each course provides a practical solution to the problems that arise in the study of foreign languages.
