Do today's young people show enough respect towards older people?

Today we are living in 21st century: A century of globalization which is affecting changes in the behavior and thinking of people. Many peope see globalization as a big threat because they think young generation is sweeping away with different cultures mostly adapting the culture of Western style. Let us try to look it from every angle. Is it really only globalization that has been causing the change in the realationships about respect between older and younger generation ? Or there is other hints about this issue?

But firts we should realize the meaning of respect.

Respect the basic component of all cordial relationships. Showing respect to the elder's means to be kind and considerate towards them and hearing them out even if you really don't agree with them.
