linguist’s attention. For man, language is not only a means of communication, but also 
a means of acquiring knowledge, storing knowledge, and understanding the world in 
general. Man creates a picture of the world that he understands based on his way of life 
and way of thinking. 
A number of factors arise in the performance of language's emotional function, 
and communication is characterized by this. “The problem of communicative behavior 
cannot be studied without taking into account the national character - the specific 
customs, values and traditions of the nation. Communication can express not only the 
logical content of the information, but also the mental state, feelings, desires of the 
speaker. In such cases, language begins to perform its emotional function”.

A broader analysis of the means of language representing the semantic field of 
"respect", which is the subject of research, allows to substantiate their relationship with 
certain word groups, lexical-semantic groups. The process of expression, means, 
speech situations, structural-semantic, grammatical-stylistic possibilities of the 
semantic field "Respect" are different. 
Linguistic means that express respect in every language have emerged as a 
result of historical, cultural development. The forms of expression of the concept of 
respect, the means of expression, are the product of a particular historical process. The 
fact that respect is related to language development, communicative attitude, form of 
expression, and manifestation characteristics requires its study as a semantic field. 
Language means expressing the semantic field of respect are manifested in the socio-
linguistic situation, in the linguistic concepts that have morphological, syntactic, 
lexical means in terms of speech expression, the event that takes place in the process of 
communication. 
The dissertation analyzes a number of examples of respect in the literary text. 
A set of words expressing flattery and respect should be distinguished by tone. In 
particular, excessive praise, exaggeration and sometimes a little false confusion are 
observed in the composition of flattery:
