Alisher navoi tashkent state university of uzbek language and literature department: english language translation theory and practice course paper

The purpose of this study is to find out valuable information about past translator and their works and modern ones. Additionally, it can also help to get to know about main differences between modern and history translators` works.
The subject of this work is to being aware the ways of modern and historical ways of translation process.
To achieve this goal, it is planned to solve a number of tasks:
- to review the scientific information about historical way of translation;
- describe and analyze history of translation;
- highlight the basic concepts of theories of historical and modern translation;
- identify differences of modern and historical translation;
- state the fundamental principles of modern translation;
- considering the ideas of scientists on the differences of modern translation with historical;
- describe the techniques and strategies of modern translation.
The following research methods were used in the work: a descriptive method, an analytical method, a method of analysis of translation transformations to identify the methods and strategies used, as well as the method of quantitative calculations.
The relevance of this work is due to the following factors:
1)great demand for translation all over the globe;
2) the spread of translation, regardless of what kind of sphere it is;
3) the growing pace of globalization around the world;
4) the rapid development of technologies used in the field of translation, which can be differentiated completely from before;
The theoretical significance of the presented study is described by its contribution to translation studies, namely, to know clearly abot the ways of translation before and now.

The practical value of this scientific research lies in the fact that it can serve to create theoretical and practical courses of translation, as well as can provide with the opportunity to being aware from the similarities of translation process with modern and old
The work is structured as follows: introduction, two chapters, conclusion and bibliography. Each chapter consists of sections arranged in accordance with the logic of the study.
