Restatement of thesis:
Reviewing pitfalls of online learning, both 
internal and external obstacles exist to obtaining good results. 
(B)
Summary of argument, using key words & phrases: 
Internal issues 
include lack of good study skills or sufficient motivation, whereas external 
ones include choosing an unsuitable skill level, dishonesty or incompetence 
of the provider, or lack of direct communication with native speakers. 
(C) 
Warning, advice or prediction:
Lacking the pressure and immediacy of 
timely responses required by a classroom teacher, the vaunted strength 
becomes a weakness of online learning; accordingly, online learning could 
be an unwise choice for many students.

This conclusion fulfils all requirements. It (A) Restates the thesis plus 
all major points of argument, (B) includes many of the main point key 
words, in a highly structured parallel framework, thus increasing 
cohesion, and (C) it provides a final prediction, warning, or advice for 
those who might ignore the strength of your advice. 
 
REMEMBER ABC: 
A = Sentence 1 – Restatement of your main idea (thesis) 
B = Sentence 2 – Summarize all major supporting points and examples of 
your essay, by using key words and phrases. 
C = Sentence 3 - Give a prediction, a warning, or some advice, that would 
result from rejection of your position or opinion. 
 
With longer essays or a thesis, the warning of consequences for disregard of your 
position should be expanded. For instance, you could warn about the consequence of 
becoming generally disillusioned or of destruction of motivation for further language 
learning, as a result of a bad online experience. For a Master Thesis on the 
weaknesses of online learning, you would need to include all of the possible adverse 
consequences revealed by your research, in detail. You may even have cited specific 
examples (in the main body of the study) of specific people being cheated by 
disreputable or unprofessional online providers and simply refer to them by name, in 
order to recall them to the reader.
