surprised atthecostoftheprojectsinceitseemedtobecomparativelylessthanwhattheyhad

plannedafterworkinghours.Theupgradingtookaweekandthetrainingoftheoperatorstookanother twoweeks.Thereallytoughperiodstartedoncethetrainingpersonnelleft.Themanagementfeltthatit wasmyresponsibilitytoseethattheoperatorsdidn'tfaceanyproblemsoncetheyactuallystartedusing thenewsoftwarepackages.Iputin60to70-hourweeksforthenextthreeweeksbeforeeveryonewas comfortablewiththenewsystem.Whilethebenefitsofusingthesepackageswerenotimmediately tangible,afewmonthslaterourclientsacknowledgedthatthequalityofthereportswesentthemhad improvedconsiderably.Infact,ayearlaterourfirmdecidedtoupgradeallofitssoftwarepackages.I considerthistobeatacitcomplimentformyefforts.Thisprojectrequiredmetobelieveinmyselfandin whatIthoughtwasgoodforthecompany.Ihadtotakeapro-activeapproach,taketheinitiativeand playaleadershiproleinmotivatingpeopleandexecutingtheprojecttocompletionAgoodmanageris onewhocanfigureoutwheretheproblemlies,dealwithiteffectivelybyinvolvingallthemembersofthe companyandimprovetheoverallcultureofthecompany.TheproblemIsawatSnMTechhadtobe resolvedtosustainthecompany'simage.ThefactthatIwasabletopulloffthistaskalonehasboosted myconfidenceinmyabilities.
