Introduction

A work to become a classic masterpiece and long-lasting, there are a variety of reasons, the most two important reasons: one is the content of the works reflect the characteristics of a particular era of culture and ideology, give historical value or the value of knowledge to a person, two is that works' originality in art, to give people a sense of beauty or provides a new craftsmanship, Fenimore Cooper's novels got achievements in both content and art. Fenimore Cooper is an outstanding American novelist, who described Indian life and people in his works becoming the first. This course works is aimed to introduce native American Indians’ life through the works of Fenimore Cooper. As we know, the native population of the U.S is Indians. But having discovered the America continent, millions of people began to move to this place to own new areas and property. As a consequently, native people of the continent and immigrants conflicted for many years. Europian people humiliated Indians and tried to damage their traditions. At the period, a lot of writers and novelists used to slander the Indians and laught at them through their works. But Fenimore Cooper became the first to understand Indians feelings and to defend them. He showed this in his works. He became fair towards natives. That is why his works are still “alive” and liked by millions of people.
