Theme: Organization of production and providing of goods and services in municipal 
territories. 
Goal: acquires knowledge about types of economic activities of municipalities related to the provision of services to the population. 
Tasks: 
Using the video material what is given in the lesson and presentation, answer the following questions:

   What are the advantages of cooperation between municipalities and private companies?
   

The joint effort may concern one or several domains falling within the legal competence of the municipalities. Such as WASTE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL, WATER DISTRIBUTION & SEWERAGE, AGRICULTURAL IRRIGATION and etc.

   What are the disadvantages of municipal cooperation with private companies? 
   

Development, bidding, and ongoing costs in cooperation projects are likely to be greater than for traditional government procurement processes - the municipality should therefore determine whether the greater costs involved are justified.

3. 
   What risks may arise to municipalities from using capital to provide goods and services to the local community? 
   

Managing Budgetary Demands, Meeting the Demands of Infrastructure and Its Associated Costs, Balancing Economic Opportunities with Environmental Risks, and Understanding and Addressing Barriers to Creating Voluntary Government Mergers and Shared Service Agreements.

   Develop your own proposals for cooperation between municipalities and private companies in the provision of services and goods. 
   

Successful cooperation between municipalities and private companies requires an effective legislative and control framework and for each partner to recognize the objectives and needs of the other.
