Write on the board the following sentences:
Betty has brought boots and trainers.
Betty and Ann have brought extra socks.
Underline “has brought” and “have brought” and elicit the diff erence. Say 
that the sentences are in the Present Perfect Tense. Then ask them the following 
questions:
