In the last few years, the use of 3D-printing has exploded in medicine. Due to global organ shortage and limited organ donors, thousands of patients are left wanting organs and tissues. The teacher of Saskatchewen University Saman Naghich attemted to define bimedical engineering researches in his article. As he said, Tissue engineering is on emerging field that works on producing artifical tissue and organ substitutes as permanent solutions to replace or repair demage.
In the second section of this article, Saman presented that 3D temporary organ structures are developing and it is called scaffolds-that may help regenerate demaged tissues and potentially lead creating artificial organ. These tissues can also be used in various tissue engineering applications, including nerve repair in structures constructed from biomaterials.
In the final section of this article Saman exponded upon the various experiments. According to this, animal studies on rats have shown that if on injury destroy more than two centimetres of nerves. In this condition, it is important of demaged nerve, specifically in case of large nerve injuries.
Saman summarized his article by writing 3D printing focuses on the development of new techniques to improve its printability.
