4.INSTRUCTIONS: Choose one of the topics below and prepare your speech on it using the range of vocabulary of the lessons (Units 10-12). Design of the background is free as you can use live video of the background, photos or even PPT slides. If you choose PPT background do not exceed the slides over 5. Make sure your speech is accompanied with your live profile no matter what background you use.
5.CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TOPICS:
1. TAKING RISK
Describe a risky situation you have ever experienced or the situation can also be imaginary.
1.Where did this risky situation take place?
2 What happened exactly?
3 Why was it so risky?
4 How did you feel?
5 How did you escape from the situation?
6 Was the experience worth the risk involved?
2.POSITIVE LIGHT
a) What sort of images are typical of your country? Do they portray your country in a positive
or negative way?
b) What other countries in the world do you think are unfairly portrayed in a negative way?
3.THE CITY OF THE FUTURE
Choose a particular city and describe both positive and negative changes of the city in the future.
4. AMAZING TOURIST DESTINATION
You have been asked to give a short talk like Ricky and Keira’s (Unit 12 video) to persuade people to visit a tourist destination.
• First, decide which place you’re going to talk about. It can be about your home or
a place that you’ve visited.
• Think of five attractions in the place that you have chosen that you think a visitor
would find interesting. Do some research to find out one interesting fact about
each place. Try to find some photos as well.
Note: All the topics are from the video lessons of the units and videos are the best guidance to plan your speech, though your creativity is also welcomed

6.CRITERIA FOR ASSESSMENT:

-Use range of vocabulary of the topic;
-Use rising and falling tones of the intonation;
- follow grammar accuracy;
-keep eye contact with the appropriate face complexion to the topic;
-use gestures where necessary;
-your voice is supposed to be audible and clear;
-perform a visible quality recording;
-meet the time limit (not less than 3 minutes, do not exceed the time)
- clear and appropriate background to the topic;
- high level of creativity;
- take the videos of the units as an example for your preparation/planning.

7.SUBMISSION TYPES: a) record your video in the volume not more than 100 MB

b) submit your video in e-eclass
c) submit in e-class your PPT or photos with the link for the video
d) submit YouTube link of your video

The video speech should be uploaded to E-class by the deadline (your video file should not exceed 100 Mb, otherwise you will not be able to submit your work in e-class).

You can also use Zoom to record your video as another alternative.
