Approaches to text linguistics
Text linguistics as a science includes many areas, which is undoubtedly associated with a variety of interpretations of the main object of this software (text). The next slide will tell you more about this, proposing to consider the classification of directions in text linguistics, based on the selection of various aspects of the text.
“If we were not indifferent to neologisms, we could define text theory as hypology (hyphos means “fabric” and “web”) (R. Barth). So, in the field of philosophy, Text Linguisticssees his tasks in studying text in the ontological and epistemological aspects, and in the field of applied areas - to study the conditions of correct human communication, to study the text as a system of signs, etc.
But it is worth mentioning that all applied areas of LT are also separate linguistic areas (such as psycholinguistics, cognitive linguistics, sociolinguistics, etc.), which illuminate the problems of the text through the prism of their own understanding of the text, their own views on linguistic problems. In other words, these approaches to the consideration of the text from different points of view are included in the LT and exist independently, thus showing the interdisciplinary of the LT / its integration with other modern linguistic trends.
- an ontological approach that deals with the problems of the existence of a text and its status (A.A. Akishina, I.V. Arnold, I.R. Galperin, V.A. Kukharenko, T.M. Nikolaeva, Z.Ya. Turaeva);
- epistemological approach, which reveals the nature of the reflection of the real world in the text;
- proper linguistic approach (structural), exploring the nature of syntactic units and their merging into the text, i.e. the nature of the linguistic design of the text (S.G. Ilyenko);
- a pragmatic approach (pragmatics), analyzing the nature of the impact of the text on the author / reader and identifying the conditions for successful use of the text (conditions for successful communication) (T.A. Van Dijk, E.S. Aznaurova, L.A. Kisel-eva, G. V. Kolshansky); PRAGMATICS OF THE TEXT. The direction that explores the attitude to the signs of speakers, considering a set of issues related to the speaking subject, addressee, their interaction, speech tactics and types of behavior, rules of speech communication, ĸᴏᴛᴏᴩᴏᴇ is carried out on a text basis.
- semiotic approach (semiotics), considering the text as a system of signs (R. Bart, Yu. M. Lotman, B. A. Plotnikov, G. V. Stepanov);
- sociolinguistic approach (sociolinguistics), dealing with the social differentiation of the language and the specifics of texts in this respect (E.F. Tarasov, N.B. Mechkovskaya, A.D. Schweitzer)
- psycholinguistic approach (psycholinguistics), which studies the features of perception and generation of text (E.F. Tarasova, Yu.A., Sorokin);
- hermeneutic approach (hermeneutics), which explores the understanding of the text (G.I. Bogin, A.A. Brudny, R.V. Skotarenko);
- cognitive approach (cognitive linguistics), considering the processes of production and perception of the text (Z.Ya. Turaeva, E.S. Kubryakova, N.N. Boldyrev).
LT, which initially arose as a section of syntax, then developed as an independent, but rather isolated from other sciences, area of ​​linguistics, "turns out to be drawn into the general circle of linguistic and non-linguistic sciences that study the text."
