1.Have you ever lived in another country. Write about it.

I moved from Uzbekistan to Portugal so yes, I have lived in another country. I did not speak the language but I had visited the country and loved the look of it, especially the Algarve, the southern Province where I settled.I really enjoyed living in Portugal. I loved the food as there is a lot of seafood that I am partial to. The ambiance in a restaurant was just magic. It was leisurely and slow paced with no one in a huge rush. Restaurant owners were not trying to get you in and out quickly. When a fish dish was ordered the wait staff brought you the fish and you chose which one you wanted. In other words, it wasn’t frozen in the back nor was it partially cooked to facilitate quickness.

2.Have you ever met a fomaou person?

Not meeting but just seeing in london, I have a long list including, Michael Jackson - quite rare as it was when he came over to do his tour and I was by Green Park and he happened to come out of his hotel, but he was surrounded with staff and body guards and wearing his sun glasses and straight into a car, Pete Burns - in Balans gay cafe in Compton Street, Bryan Ferry - Kings Road Chelsea, Johnny Depp, Kasabian, - around Waterloo as had both been on or going on Grantham Norton show, Johnny came out for a cigarette, Kasabian were walking about in a market close by, Terry Hall and Neville from Fun Boy Three down Kings Road, I got their autograph, Duncan James, he was taking his break from a theatre in central london so imagine my surprise when I came across him, Eliot Sumners who is stings daughter, she was outside Shepherds Bush watching Hurts in concert like us, Rupert Everet in Compton Street, oh and that reminds me, yes I did meet another two famous people but only at work. So I couldn’t talk to them properly only as in my job and that was Hugh Grant and Theo Walcott when I was stewarding the box they were in. I was quite surprised to see Hugh Grant and his brother there and Theo has his brother there also. I was looking after 6 boxes. I can’t spell his name but the famous footballer Thierry Ounrich was in one of the boxes and he patted me on the shoulder as he left.

3.How do you spend your free time?

I'm a student, so I study a lot but as a student I also try to have fun and spend my free time in the way I want to. Usually when I'm tired, I like relaxing. I can go out somewhere with my friends, or go to the sea. I also like going to eat something nice, to cook something tasty or just watch a movie and try not to think about problems.

The other way of spending my free time if I am not tired, is travelling. I think travelling is the most interesting activity for me. I can meet new people and discover something new.

I really think that travelling to other countries or going for a small trip around your village or your town that you stay in can be a wonderful thing because it gives you positive emotions and helps you relax.

4.how long have you been studying English

Since I was five years old. But I was a quite lazy student and mostly caught on on the speaking part at first. We’ve had English at school from age twelve and above and I therefore already had good notions of it, I could speak it fluently but I’ve progressed much more since then and it became a second language.

English is everywhere, on the internet, in books (some of my study books don’t have translations therefore I have to read them in English), in talking with a foreigner, business etc. Being very interested in everything international (including chatting sites like meeting people from foreign countries), I starting using it commonly quite early and quickly got the idea of some expressions used in colloquial language.

5.describe your next door neighbour in your home country.

I’m lucky, I’ve got good neighbours. I’m going to tell you about just one of them, when we met, how often we meet and why I think he is a good neighbour who I like very much.Malika is a great neighbour because I know I could call on him if I needed to. We will always help each other if we can. I dug his car out of the snow for him once as he didn’t have a shovel, but he’s returned the favour in other ways, taking in parcels for me when I’m away for example. Because I live on my own it is really important to me to have a neighbour close by that I trust and like. I was really sad when he told me he was planning to emigrate. I was also really pleased for him, you have to wish someone well when they are following their dreams. I hope my new next-door neighbour is half as nice!

6.How do you normally organize your time.

Punctuality is one important aspect. I try my best to be on time for whatever engagement I have. It is respectful to all the parties involved. For that, I plan ahead. I absolutely hate someone being late. It shows they have no regard for my time. Exceptions exist, of course. Things like traffic and accidents are not in our control. Such situations are understandable.

Of course, I’m not perfect. Unforeseen things happen outside of my control. I might be late to appointments. I might not accomplish my daily goals. In such scenarios, it is best to simply own up and ensure it never happens again.

7.describe the biggest problem you faced while studying at university.

. I will miss my family and I think for the first few weeks, this would be terrible. All my life I have lived with my family and being in a foreign country would mean that I can contact them over the phone and have video calls only, but can’t spend time with them in person.Another problem that might arrive is loneliness. This is going to be a new city and I won’t have any friends and relatives. So the first few days would be lonely, I guess. Travelling and not knowing the route and bus number would be another problem. The different kinds of food in this country might be a dilemma as I am habituated to eat common types of food available in my country. It might happen that I won’t find food of my preference near my living place.

8.describe about your favourite holiday

The best holiday of my life was the vacation I had with my parents and sisters two years ago. I work in the capital city and visit my hometown 2-3 times a year. My hometown is a 7-hour drive from my current city. That time I got a week’s holiday and planned to surprise my family members. I reached home at around 1.00 am and my parents and siblings were delighted and quite surprised at the same time to see me. They were excited when they heard that I had got a vacation for the whole week. My mother called my elder sister the next day and she came to visit us on the same day with her children. This holidays I had with my family is a memorable one, and the best I ever had, as I scarcely get a chance to meet and spend time with all of my family members together whom I love and miss dearly.

9.describe about national food in your country

People of my country, Uzbekistan, love to prepare all kinds of food, traditional or not, and eat them whether there is an occasion for it or not. Of course, when talking about preparing traditional meals, there are just too many of them to choose. However, today, I would like to about a meal which I don’t only like to enjoy, but also prepare it myself from time to time.

The name of this meal in my language is called “osh" or “plow" in plain English. Even though this particular meal is traditionally enjoyed mostly during the rainy day, its savoury taste, along with its easy cooking methods, makes it a very popular food item pretty much for all occasions.

I then put on my coat and leave the house. I walk to the bus stop. I catch the bus at 8.15, and then I pay my fare and sit down. It takes about 45 minutes to get to my destination three miles away. I get off the bus and walk to the school where I teach English. I have to sign in and get the key. Class starts at 9.25 and ends at 11.25.

I have lunch at 12. I eat a baguette or sandwich at the local café. I sometimes do some shopping before I walk back to school. I do some photocopying and go back to my classroom. 12.describe about why did you choose this faculty

Biology is the study of life. It is a very broad and diverse field. It is a natural science. In fact, I consider it as the science of the 21st century. Why?

It’s because biology is a field that requires a good understanding of all the other sciences. If you have a good high school level foundation in biology, chemistry, and mathematics, I encourage you to go for Biology as your college major or career.

Biology focuses on the study of living organisms. What is life? How do we protect it? How organisms survive at the molecular, cellular, and anatomical levels? What is the ecological interrelationship one organism has with another? What evolutionary patterns are associated with organisms? These questions are important to living creatures like ourselves and studying Biology is about understanding the answers.

Well, I would say I’m still a kid at heart (a person who still feels like a child in their heart), so I really enjoy watching kids’ movies. Although they seem simple and innocent, there are often many life lessons packed into these films. Moreover, I’m really into drama and historical movies. Some people are really good at public speaking, and others just aren’t. I think it is very difficult to talk in front of other people in an engaging way but when people do this really well, then you remember the occasion and how you felt at the time too. Obviously, really bad speeches can be memorable too, but I’m not going to talk about any of those today. The speech was given by me in a place I was working. I was giving a speech to say goodbye to one of my colleagues who was leaving to set up as an independent consultant, but who had worked at the organisation a very long time, perhaps forty years. Everyone was sad to see me go, as we were very popular, but they all wished us well and understood why we felt we needed to move on. Historical Samarkand is often the first stop for visitors to Uzbekistan – with the exception of capital Tashkent which serves as a transport hub. The high-speed train from Tashkent to Samarkand takes two hours, halving the time it takes to drive between the two cities. The Registan complex of mosque and madrasahs (Islamic schools), decorated with ceramic tiles and presided over by an obviously un-Islamic lion, are at the heart of Samarkand. I can cook almost everything: omelets, pancakes, potato, chicken, soup and even desserts. The only thing is I never cook for myself. I like to cook for my family, my friends or classmates. 28.write about the city which are you going to travel.

I have a myriad of destinations on my must-visit list around the world. However, if I get the opportunity to choose one city, I would probably pick London, which is one of the most prominent capitals around the globe. I guess the reason why I desire to visit London has something to do with the fact that ever since I was a kid, I had always been amazed by the gorgeous and unique architecture of London. There are also some interesting facts about London that I want to witness in real life. One of them is the fact about the Big Ben tower. So far, many people see the tall clock tower and think that it is Big Ben. But in fact, Big Ben is a giant thirteen-ton bell inside the tower that is rung every two hours by a two hundred – kilogram hammer. The real name of the Bell is the Great Bell of Westminster. Besides Big Ben, lots of tourists also enjoy visiting Buckingham Palace, which is also extremely appealing to me since it is the home to the Queen of England. Watching the changing of the guard ceremony that takes place in front of the Palace’s gate certainly be exciting. Buckingham Palace is also the second-largest working palace in the world after Brunei’s Istana Nurul Iman. Today, I would like to talk about one such important message, which I received about 5 years ago, that made me truly happy.Luckily enough, I did receive a formal message in an email, a couple of weeks after the initial trouble, inviting me to get enrolled at my university to carry on my Master's degree in Management Information System. The message was certainly important for me as it pretty much decided the course of my life and career for many years to come, by helping me become the person I am today, as I could not possibly excel academically as much in other educational fields as in the subject of my choice. Yes, as I've just mentioned, I like to visit a park, preferably having a lake in it, with some of my friends and neighbours whenever I get an opportunity (by the way, sometimes, I have to go alone because others may have different priorities). I also don’t forget to grab a food basket and a blanket/bed sheet for a lazy feast on the grassy lawn of the park unless, of course, it rains. Finally, accompany with us are some fishing rods and camera as well.

33.write about the world's most popular sport

In my opinion Football is the most popular sport in the world, with an estimated following of 4 billion fans. Like some of the other sports on this list, the origins of football as we know it are in England in the 19th century, though history points to people playing similar games as far back as two thousand years, beginning in China. One reason for football’s popularity is that unlike other sports that require expensive equipment, all you need to play football is a ball and your foot. Hence, anyone, rich or poor, can enjoy the sport. It is played all over the world, but is particularly popular in Europe, Central and South America, and Africa.

34.have you ever been in Tashkent

Yes of course.Located on a well-watered plain just 13 miles from the Kazakh-Uzbek border is the beautiful city of Tashkent. This ancient city is the capital and largest city in Uzbekistan. There are a number of leisure activities in Uzbekistan, my native country, and people there get involved with these leisurely activities to enjoy their times with friends and families. But, as far as my leisurely activity is concerned, I like to play basketball.

Basketball is a rather popular leisurely activity in Canada since people from all walks of life and from all over Canada like to get involved with it in order to pass their times, be it on the weekdays or the weekends. However, even though this sport is enjoyed by people from all walks of life, it is more popular among the college and university going young people.

In my opinion the most famous persana from Uzbekistan is Bobur.Zahir-ud-din Muhammad Babur was a conqueror from Central Asia who, following a series of setbacks, finally succeeded in laying the basis for the Mughal dynasty in the Indian Subcontinent and became the first Mughal emperor. He was a direct descendant of Timur, from the Barlas clan, through his father, and a descendant also of Genghis Khan through his mother. 38.describe about that you have ever passed the exam.

It was a “math” exam which I needed to take during my school days about a few years ago in order to get admitted to one of the most prestigious high schools in my country. So, I knew what kind of an uphill battle it was going to be because so many high school students - brilliant and smart students that are - from around the country were going to fight for their places in that particular high school. Anyway, I was also mentally prepared for the exam, or at least I thought so because I spent a significant amount of time to study all kinds of high school math, that included many challenging formula and problems from algebra, geometry and trigonometry. So, when the time to take the exam finally arrived, I headed to the test centre with a very positive frame of mind.

39.write about your father's job

My father was a coal miner, not because he wanted to be, but because his much older half-brother with whom he had been sent to live when his mother died put him to work in the mines when he was 11 years old. Yes, rather than send him to school with his own same-age children, he made my dad work inside a mine sweeping up dust until he got big enough to pin top by lying on his back and hammering supporting timbers into the coal seam roof. He got to sleep in the wood shed, but they did let him eat in the house. He was virtually illerate, had chronic pain and black lung. We all have a place that we would like to visit at least once in our lifetimes. For me that place is Italy. There are many reasons why Italy remains to be my number one travelling destination. With a culture spanning more than 2500 years, it is among the few ancient civilizations that have stood the test of time and are still in existence today. As a result, Italy is the home to prehistoric sites and ancient monuments

44.write about your free time activity

.The name of this particular hobby is called “internet surfing and collecting information from it”. Yes, you heard it right. My favourite hobby nowadays is surfing the internet. 45.describe the preparation of a traditional meal in your country

In many parts of Asia, the Muslim world, and in Indian English[1][2] and the languages of the Middle East, a kebab is any of a wide variety of grilled meat dishes. Some dishes ultimately derived from Middle Eastern kebab may have different names in their local languages, such as the Chinese chuan. In North America, a kebab is commonly the classic shish kebab or shashlik – small cubes of meat cooked on a skewer[3][4] – or, outside of North America where it is better known as gyros,[5] the more recent and now-ubiquitous fast-food doner kebab.[4][6]

Kebabs consist of cut-up or ground meat and they mostly consist of mashed onion in addition of vegetables, and various other accompaniments according to the specific recipe. There are lots of different types of kebabs. Most of the time kebab is served with rice or bread. In addition, kebab is served with herbs and raw onions. Although kebabs are typically cooked on a skewer over a fire, some kebab dishes are baked in a pan in an oven or prepared as a stew such as tas kebab.[3][7] The traditional meat for kebabs is most often mutton or lamb, but regional recipes may include beef, goat, chicken, fish, or more rarely due to religious prohibitions, pork.

46.write about your hometown

Samarkand is my hometown.Samarkand is not only beautiful but also very important in historical aspect. Samarkand city is the second largest city after its “big brother” Tashkent. 47.write about a subject you would like to study in the future.

I am a student of science background though I wanted to study arts once. But due to the pressure from my parents, I could not explore the subjects of arts, especially history. So, if I have any option to study more in future, I would like to study history, to be more particular, it is ancient history.

History is the science of time. It describes the past and also informs us about the eras and living of the people. It appears to me that ancient history is the subject which describes the most wanted events of the time. How people passed their days, how their living was, war and peace, social status etc. In fact, ancient history is the subject that tells the stories of ancient days. It is the root to know the civilisation and modern days. By living in a modern day, it is really tough to come to know about the past histories unless someone is gone through the ancient history texts.

48.write about a musical instrument you would like to play but have never tried

I have always believed that learning to play a musical instrument, whether we are young or old, gives us a great feeling as well as a great sense of accomplishment. But, unfortunately, I am yet to learn to play at least one musical instrument. But, on the other hand, if there is one musical instrument that I really want to be able to play, it has to be a guitar – any kind of guitars that is. I said “any kind of guitar” because people can be seen to be playing 3 different kinds of guitars, and they are called acoustic, electric and bass.

His hobby helped him to learn a lot about other countries and other peoples' traditions, the world's flora and fauna. Maybe that's why he was good at geography and biology at school. He used to bring the albums to school and we examined his stamps with great interest and envy. Sometimes he exchanged stamps with his schoolmates.

From my experience, I can say that my grandfather had an extended family and people at that time used to live together with close relatives. As far as I have heard, their forefathers also live in a joint family and the number of family members was sometimes more than twenty. However, the trend of living in an extended family has changed remarkably in cities where most of the families are nuclear in nature. The villages in my country still have large families who live together but the number is shrinking day by day.
