It was about two matters happening together. Actually, it is really wonderful to 
have some good news around you. So, the experience last week was a blessing 
for me. Thank you for your option to discuss the matter with you. Here is a 
brief description of the events.
My bank manager told me that I would not be eligible to apply for a loan to get 
some necessary things done. Besides, my promotion was stuck in the office. 
But suddenly, there was a change in everything. I got the loan and 
simultaneously I was promoted in the next day. Both the news was good for 
me and I felt lucky.
I was working in my office. Suddenly I got a telephone call at around 11.30 am. 
It was from my bank. The phone call said that my loan application has been 
granted. Earlier, the manager showed some excuses that they do not provide 
loans for the purposes I am seeking for. They did not have such policy. On the 
other side, my promotion was stuck for about three months. I received an 
envelope before getting the phone call. It would sound weird that both the 
things happened together. After finishing the phone call, I opened the 
envelope and found that it contained my promotion letter. It was a great 
surprise for me.
I immediately informed the matter of promotion to my wife and other family 
members. But since the loan issue was completely personal, I did not inform it 
to anyone else except my business partner. Actually, I was trying to start an 
export import business and needed a smart amount of funds which I applied 
for. Finally, everything went well. I got the loan, I got promoted. But the 
consequent impacts of the promotion were interesting. I had to organise for a 
large party at home marking the promotion and invited all the colleagues and 
relatives. Everyone was happy with the matter and even my boss admitted 
that he made a bit late in evaluating my performance.

Both the news had a strong effect on me as I had long been aspiring for them. I 
am independent in nature. So, I wanted to do something by myself and 
required money. So, I got a partner but the money we had was insufficient to 
start the business. Later, I applied for a loan to my bank and got refused. 
Besides, the promotion in office was another thing that I needed badly. I was 
unable to adjust to the increasing living costs in this city of Durban. Hence, 
both of the matters were equally important to me. I believe that this was a 
heavenly blessing to me. I got the loan and promotion on the same day. I was 
happy indeed.
