  1. Types of grammatical transformations: general considerations

  2. Substitution (replacement) as a type of grammatical transformation and cases of its use in translation;

  3. Transposition as a type of grammatical transformation and cases of its use in translation.




The aim of the lesson: Developing general theoretical knowledge and practical skills on the use of grammatical transformations in the translating process: clarifying the main factors outlining the use of grammatical transformations; expanding knowledge and developing skills on the use of substitution (replacement) in translation; expanding knowledge and developing skills on the use of transposition in translation;

  • Deepening and developing knowledge on the use of grammatical transformations in the translating process;

  • Expanding knowledge and developing skills on the issues connected with the types of grammatical transformations;

  • Expanding knowledge and developing skills on the issues concerned with the use of substitution (replacement) as a type of grammatical transformation;

  • Clarifying the general distinctive features of grammatical transformations in the translating process;
