2. Types of Translation: Basic Assumptions. Literary Translation. Informative Translation. Written and Oral Types of Translation. Consecutive Translation. Simultaneous Translation.
3. Lexical problems of translation. Complete and Partial Lexical Correspondences. The Absence of Lexical Correspondences.
4. Rendering of words of national colouring.

The aim of the lesson: Developing theoretical knowledge and practical skills in fundamentals of translation studies, clarifying the essence of translation, its main objectives, topical problems and aspects of study; widening knowledge about the types of translation and lexical problems of translation; developing skills needed to translate culture-specific words.
