Results and discussion.Characterization of Zinc Nanoparticles, UV-Vis Absorbance 
UV-Vis spectrophotometric analysis of synthesized ZnO nanoparticles is shown in thefigure. An 
absorbance peak at 351 nm indicates the presence of ZnO nanoparticles, which is inaccordance of 
UV absorbance result shown by previous studiesobtained peak at 377nm and work has shown 
absorption peak at 325 nmfor Zinc oxide nanoparticles. 
Conclusion.The successful formation of ZnO NPs using leaf extract of Poligonumaviculare 
presents anew method of synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles which has merits over other reported 
methods asthis is a low-cost, unreported and simple procedure. UV-Vis Spectroscopy results- An 
observedabsorbance peak at 351nm confirms the presence of ZnO nanoparticles. While XRD, SEM, 
EDX,DLS, FTIR results have are also in accordance with previous literature serving as a 


confirmatoryevidence for the synthesis of ZnO NPs using aq. leaf extract of Poligonumaviculare. 
Phytochemicalanalysis of aq. leaf Extract of P.aviculare has shown the presence of alkaloid, 
flavanoids,carbohydrate, saponins, which might be responsible for the reducing property for the 
formation ofZinc oxide nanoparticles and also acting as capping and stabilizing agent for the 
synthesizednanoparticles.

Introduction.In recent years, Nanomaterialsare being used in a wide variety of applications due to 
its varying properties on scaling down from bulk size to nanometre size (10-9m). The surface area 
to volume ratio plays an important role in Nanoparticles, due to which they become more reactive. 
Nanotechnology and Nanoparticles based product and application are increased now a days due to 
various fields like biotechnology, physics, chemistry, material sciences, engineering, and medicine. 
Zinc Nanoparticles are being widely under use in a variety of fields due to its uniqueness and 
attractiveness in their properties like electrical, optical, dermatological and antibacterial. This makes 
them to be a promising element the widely distributed fields like automobiles, electronics, 
optoelectronics, textiles, medicine, drug delivery and cosmetics.
